James Baier is a student board member of PSR Philadelphia, a position he has held since April of 2016. James is currently a combined MD/MPH student at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, and plans on using his medical training to serve those displaced by environmental disasters related to climate change.
James is coordinating a city-wide advocacy training for health professionals to be held this spring semester on January 28th at Drexel University and has spoken at community events on climate change in the Philadelphia area. He is very passionate about the need to represent the perspective of the millennial generation in local discussions of how climate change will impact health, because climate change is consistently ranked by millennials as an issue of great concern.
