About the event

For those living near industrial pollution, experiencing health impacts from air and water pollution is a common occurrence. Due in part to the lack of education around environmental exposures, symptoms can be misdiagnosed and under managed.


Join physicians and patients as we discuss the ways the environment can impact your health, the barriers to environmental medicine, and offer solutions for providers and patients to increase communication and improve outcomes for those experiencing health impacts.


SPEAKERS

Laura Dagley, RN

Laura Dagley is a registered nurse and the Environmental Health and Medical Writer for Physicians for Social Responsibility Pennsylvania. She has worked in hospital, home health, and hospice settings, where she began to connect her patient's health to their environmental exposures. She now works in Pittsburgh as an advocate for healthcare providers, their patients, and the environments they live in. Her focus is educating on the research surrounding the health impacts from…
