About the Event

Do you know where your trash goes when it leaves the curb, and what impacts it has on the communities nearby? Thanks to Councilmember Gauthier's recently proposed bill, Philadelphia could stop sending its garbage to be burned in Chester, where poor air quality has resulted in devastating health impacts including high rates of asthma and cancers. Join PSR PA and Reclaim Philadelphia for an online screening of PSR PA board member Bilal Motley's documentary on incineration in Chester, Trash and Burn, and a conversation on how we can support this bill now and push for long term reinvention of our waste system so that no community suffers from the harms of another's trash.
