PSR PA is excited to share Protest as Play, a creative platform exploring how communities resist creatively, playfully, and defiantly in a time when health, safety, and futures are contested. It questions what it means to imagine or enact liberation in the face of systems designed to exhaust or erase people and places, revealing what resilience looks like when it is rooted in community, memory, and the refusal to be silent.
We invite you to share your own form of creative resistance. Whether through art, writing, photography, movement, craft, or another form of expression, show how you imagine liberation, care, or resilience in your community.

Serving Up the Tea on AI & Data Centers
PSR PA and Selena T. West give audiences a night of performance, fun and games. The goal of this event to leave with a broader understanding of data centers and their health impacts.
This event will be held at Velum Fermentation from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, November 3rd.
Over the past year, PSR PA commissioned five artists to create original works responding to our Protest as Play prompt. Their pieces now form the foundation of a growing collection that continues to expand as community members share their own creative responses.
We invited artists to respond to themes such as:

Health as a site of struggle and liberation

Radical, joyful, humorous, or intergenerational forms of resilience or resistance

Collective care in the face of political and environmental harm

Humor and play as strategies for defiance and community strength
We’re thrilled to introduce each of the commissioned artists and share their creative responses. These works reflect imagination, clarity, and courage in the face of environmental injustice and community resilience.
This collection is now growing through Protest as Play: Creative Resistance for Collective Good, an open invitation for community members to contribute their own creative expressions.
