About the event

In response to COP 26 and in preparation for COP 27, Physicians for Social Responsibility Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic Center for Children’s Health and the Environment at Villanova University are proud to sponsor COP 27: A Regional Response to Climate Action, Health, and Equity on June 24, 2022.  This one-day, virtual meeting will address the relationship between environmental justice and climate change, how it relates to transportation and energy, housing, and food security, and impacts public health and more equitable health policies.  We will bring together communities and leaders in health care, health policy, advocacy, grassroots organizing, and innovation from the Mid-Atlantic Region (Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia, and Washington, DC).  The goal is to build networks that will address environmental justice and explore solutions for regional climate change mitigation and adaptation to improve the health of our communities.
