About Matthew
Matt Shorraw is a dedicated public servant and community advocate with experience in local and state government, grassroots organizing, and public policy. Matt is the Policy and Program Coordinator for PSR PA. He served as the youngest and 20th Mayor of Monessen, PA (2018–2022). A 4th-generation Monessenite and 7th-generation Westmoreland County resident, Matt holds a master’s degree in government from Harvard University and a bachelor's in Commercial Music Technology. He co-founded Monessen’s Free Store and the Raise Your Voice Festival and has contributed to various community organizations. Passionate about infrastructure, housing, climate, and social justice, Matt brings a deep commitment to improving communities through policy, collaboration, and service.
